====== CUWIN 5000 & 6000 OS Restore Instructions ====== - Set the CUWIN's [[:cuwin:setting_the_cuwin_s_operating_mode_dip_s_w_setting:index|operating mode dip switches]] as follows\\ 1 - On\\ 2 - Off\\ 3 - On\\ 4 - Off\\ 5 - Off\\ 6 - Off - Connect a serial cable from the PC's com port to the CUWIN's "COM 1", and connect a USB cable from the PC's USB port to the CUWIN's "USB DEVICE" port. Be sure COM1 is not configured for RS-485. - Turn on CUWIN and use Device Manager to install the driver in the "Driver" folder. There is currently no 64-bit driver, so the driver must be installed to a 32-bit Windows computer. - Run DNW.exe from the "Utility" folder. Ensure the title bar reads "USB:OK". Configure the serial port settings as 115200 baud. Select "Serial Port"->"Connect" from the menu and make sure the title bar reads "COM[n], 115200". - Turn the CUWIN off and back on again, and a menu should appear in the utility. - Type "F" then "9" then "U". - Choose "USB Port"->"UBOOT" and browse to the OS image file. - Wait for it to finish downloading. When prompted to do so, reset the operating mode dip switches, and reboot the CUWIN. - Recalibrate the touch screen and enjoy.
