Install Visual Studio Linux Features

Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 support features for Linux software development.

From the Visual Studio installer, simply select the Linux development with C++ option.

Go to Tools–>Extensions and Updates and find the Visual C++ for Linux Development extension. The Download button will take you to a Microsoft website where the extension can be downloaded.
